CHAPTER TWO
Ann Marie woke up early the next day in a very wet and messy diaper. She had expected this and quickly changed into a fresh diaper and plastic pants. In addition to getting more diapers at the psych department, she was going to have to get herself a diaper pail. She was using the washing machine temporarily, but it was inconvenient, particularly if she wanted to wash anything else.
Dr. Damron had called for a general meeting of all grad students so that they could aall get acquainted. Ann Marie didn't want to be late so she chose a casual outfit to wear, a baggy skirt to hide her diapers, and after a quick check in the mirror, she was off. She drank a glass of orange juice on the way but didn't eat anything as she really wasn't hungry, just thirsty. In her purse/diaper bag were several fresh didies and plastic pants along with a plastic bag to hold her dirty diapers.
Ann Marie arrived early, as had several other grad students. As she had suspected she was the oldest person in the group. They were all nervous and Ann Marie struck up a conversation with a pretty blond woman named Jennifer Dearborn. Jennifer was 21 and was stunning to say the least. She had the kind of figure that men lusted after and most women were jealous of. Like Ann Marie, she was also one of Dr. Damron's chosen nursery candidates. From what Ann Marie was able to determine, all the grad students were part of the study and like her they all seemed to have somewhat larger than normal behinds. She was drinking her second bottled water when she once again wet her pants.
Gathering her courage, Ann Marie said out loud, "I've just peed my pants again and my diapers can't take anymore. Does anyone else need a change?"
There was some nervous laughter and finally Jennifer said "I do" and then, once the ice had been broken, several others also stated they were in need of changes. In only a matter of minutes the students had all paired up and Jennifer and Ann Marie mutually agreed to change each others pants. When they had finished, the student meeting was coming to order under the direction of Dr. Damron who had arrived while they had been in the ladies room.
Dr. Damron opened the meeting with the announcement that all of them would be babies within a week. Further, they would be growing ever younger as the day passed. All would be receiving their regression treatments per the schedule he passed out to them. "You should all be incontinent by now" he said "and you may gather additional diaper supplies for the next day or two from the psych department supply room. You will notice that you are almost always thirsty, but you are not particularly hungry. This is because as you regress, you will draw sustenance from the excess body mass you are shedding. Please make the necessary arrangements to move into the residential wing adjacent to the psych department in the next 48 hours. When you become to young for the residential wing, you will be transferred to the nursery" he said. Finally, Dr. Damron told them that they would all be about 3 years younger by the end of the day with the exception of Ann Marie. Because of her age, she was being regressed at a rate nearly double the rest of the class. However, he cautioned, just as they had all matured at varying rates, so also would they all regress at varying rates.
They toured the residential wing and Ann Marie noted that it was quite secure. There were monitors in all the hallways and in every room. Additionally, they were told not to purchase any new clothing as the psych department had complete wardrobes for all 25 students. All the students were instructed to keep a journal of their thoughts and feelings for as long as they were able.
Other than checking in the next morning, they were pretty much on their own for the rest of the day. Both Jennifer and Ann Marie received their second regression treatment and then they stocked their diaper bags. Along with two other ladies, Susan Jones and Christine Hagland, they decided to hang out at Ann Marie's house. They were all too self conscious about their diapers to be seen in public and they were all nervous and excited about their pending regression to infancy.
The ladies visited well into the afternoon and the more they talked the more the barriers between them broke down. By early evening, they had become good friends. They had been sneaking off to the bathroom to change themselves and to sneak a peek at themselves to see if they looked any younger. While Ann Marie was apparently unchanged the same was not true for the rest. Susan and Christine were following the expected regression curve and had both regressed to about 18 or 19 years old. It was Jennifer who had regressed the most, almost double the curve. By late evening, this once stunning blond woman was a cute 15 year old who looked more and more like a sophmore in highschool than a college graduate. Nothing Jennifer had brought to wear fit her and she was grateful when Ann Marie loaned her some of her daughter Lisa's old clothes to wear. Even they were a bit baggy and became more so as the evening progressed.
Each of the ladies gave a brief history of how they had ended up in Dr. Damron's class. Ann Marie learned that Susan was an only child who had always felt neglected growing up. She came to the grad class anxious to acquire a better understanding of early childhood development. She hadn't figured that she would be literally starting over from the very beginning but felt that the nursery study gave her the opportunity to gain a profound insight into her own upbringing that no other program in the country could offer.
Christine was the youngest from a family of seven and unlike Susan, she felt that her upbringing was excellent. She had become interested in the program while in a junior college criminal justice program. Her interest in social work had convinced her that most juvenile delinquency problems originated in early childhood and hence her interest in Dr. Damron's program. The nursery program was just an added bonus for her research which she felt would assist her greatly in her future career in social work or police work.
Ann Marie was the only one with children in the group and had to admit that her only motivation was the financial incentive that an advanced degree offerred her in her career. "I hadn't planned on becoming a baby again" She said "but it makes for an interesting summer vacation. I hope that the reversal of this regression process works as I really don't want to be baby sat by my daughter." she joked.
Jennifer was engaged and she admitted that as another only child she wasn't sure that her parenting skills were all that well developed. Her fiancee wanted children and she felt the program offerred her the opportunity to become the best mom possible.
By late evening they had gotten pretty silly acting. Susan had found Ann Marie's old baby bottles while getting herself a drink and soon they were all drinking from the bottles, joking that they needed the practice. Their initial shyness over their diapers gave way to a group camaraderie and by late evening they were openly joking about getting diaper rash. With this many people in her home, it did not take long for Ann Marie's washing machine to fill up.
As they folded a load of diapers, Christine and Ann Marie noted that Jennifer had drifted off to sleep. Ann Marie announced that they should all fill out their journals. "I don't know about you two" she said "but I have a lot of entries to make before retiring for the night." The day had simply flown by and Ann Marie offerred all her new friends the opportunity to stay the night which made sense to both Susan and Christine as noone had the heart to wake Jennifer up.
