A: Heya! How're you?
B: Ugh. Just gat back from a long day
B: Er, got. See what I mean?
A: Yeah
A: How's the family?
B: Not bad. I think they're upset that I've been working so late.
A: Yeah, I remember the feeling from when I grew up.
B: I feel bad, but there's nothing I can do about it. Unfortunately, you don't understand that until it's too late
A: Why not surprise them tonight?
B: How?
A: Well, you set up the basketball hoop in the driveway, right?
B: Yeah. Last week.
A: Take 'em out and play...just for a few minutes. Doesn't have to take long.
B: That's a good idea. They'll appreciate that. I'll be back in a few.
A: What do you think?
B: That was great. I wish I could spend more time doing that and less at work.
A: Can't you?
A: You work late so often...
A: just come home at a normal time for once.
B: I really can't. There's just not enough time to get everything done otherwise.
A: then let someone else do it.
A: Your kids need the time.
A: Bet they want you to go out and play again, don't they?
B: I don't get paid to let someone else do it
B: But yeah, they do
A: You're not really that tired, either, are you?
A: Just kinda getting warmed up, eh?
B: Actually, yeah
B: This is kind of invigorating
A: You may want to change...don't want to ruin your clothes.
B: Hmm. Good idea. I wonder if I still have anything appropriate? I haven't played basketball in years.
A: Well, there's always your son's clothes. He's how old now, 12?
B: 11...probably a little small, but I'll give it a try
B: Wow. They fit. I guess I didn't even realize how much he'd grown
A: kids grow fast.
A: Feel more up to the game now, eh?
B: That was so fun! They actually beat me. They've never done that before:)
B: Maybe I can skip work tomorrow and do something with them
A: Eh, you just let 'em beat you.
B: Nope. i was trying my hardest
A: Really think you can miss a day?
B: yeah
B: i'll just call in sick
A: i have another idea for you, then
A: epecially if your kid's clothes fit you.
B: oh?
A: Set up a tent in the backyard, and sleep out there tonight. Ask to borrow a pair of pajamas.
A: The kid's'll love it.
B: great idea!
B: i'll tell them now
B: the boys seem to find this all very funny, but wont say why
B: theyre thrilled
B: would you believe his pajamas are actually a little baggy on me?
A: really?
A: guess he just likes 'em big.
B: must be
A: 'course, if they really are to big, there's always your other son's
A: he's 8, right?
B: yeah
B: i can't imagine hes big enough
A: why not ask?
B: but these are pretty big
B: its worth a try
A: What's he into these days?
B: digimon! would you believe im wearing digimon pajamas? and they fit perfectly
A: Heh...I bet he has an episode on tape.
A: Why not watch it with him?
B: that'll be fun
B: ill watch it with him
B: hell like that
A: betcha you will too
B: you were right
B: thats a really good show
A: I like the stuff we watched when we were young, myself.
A: remember?
A: TaleSpin, Goof Troop,
A: Chip and Dale?
B: yeah
B: those were good shows
A: Didn't you say you bought some Chip and Dale pj's for the boys?
A: a couple years ago, now, I think
B: yeah
B: for the little one
